وصف المشروع:
ينتج الطلاب مجموع 12 ميل من لوحات جدارية على
القماش (440 جدارية مقياس كل منها 125 قدم) لتخلق تنافسًا عالميًا
وكي يعترف بها كأكبر لوحة جدارية في كتاب جيينيز للأرقام القياسية
العالمية تحت عنوان أكبر لوحة جدارية للأطفال في العالم (12
ميل) .
يصمم الطلاب والمدارس والمنظمات والمشتركون في
برامج ما بعد المدرسة من حول العالم لوحات جدارية وينتجونها ، ثم
يجمعونها ويلحمونها مع بعضها . يندرج إثنا عشر موضوعًا في هذا
المشروع :
ميل لتعدد الثقافات والتنوع .
ميل للبيئة .
ميل للأهالي الأصليون .
ميل للرياضة .
ميل للنساء .
ميل للقصص الخرافية .
ميل لهولوود .
ميل للموسيقى .
ميل للكبار .
ميل للسلام والوحدة والشفاء.
ميل للمرشد .
على المشاركون أن يعملوا معًا ليقرروا أي
موضوع يودون العمل عليه . من المهم أن يعلموا أن هذه الجدارية
ستقوم بجولة على المتاحف وأن عملهم سيشاهد في بلدان عديدة وعلى
مواقع الإنترنيت وعلى التلفزيون ، ثم في المستقبل في منشورات
ومجلات وفي عام 2010 ستوضع هذه الجدارية على الأهرامات في مصر حيث
ستكون القاهرة عاصمة الثقافة (ستغطي جميع الجداريات الأهرامات) .

Project Description:
The Art Miles Mural Project is dedicated to promoting the spirit
of world peace. We do this by collecting cultural portraits,
individual life experiences and powerful stories of traditions,
myths and memories to be used for teaching, preserving,
celebrating and healing .
We believe in painting murals on
canvas as a worldwide activity that will provide a creative
portal addressing societal issues, drawing out keen messages and
common themes, as well as generating momentum towards global
harmony.
Our
Vision is …To
see your murals become internationally recognized for their
efforts in documenting, educating and awakening people’s level
of understanding .
* To demonstrate that
interdependence can create a world where peace and harmony is
possible in a context in which diversity is truly valued
* To support the UNESCO Decade for
the Culture of Peace and Non Violence Among Children of the
World, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, and the UN Convention for
the Rights of the Child
* And most importantly, to support
all children everywhere!
Our Goals are …To
bring people together by creating one mural at a time, one mile
at a time
* To exhibit your beautiful murals
wherever possible throughout the Decade and beyond
* To share messages of peace about
issues of concern as painted from the hearts of painters
* To create awareness and to
celebrate our diversity with children everywhere, teaching
understanding and respect
* To organize a gala exhibition by
joining all murals together at the end of the Decade (2010) in
Egypt at a World Cultural Heritage Site
* To HAVE FUN!
